Advice from the Experts

Partner products are designed to help you get the job done and in general make your life easier. Some simple tips can help to make the task in hand even easier. Read the ideas from us at Partner below.

Be careful when going unleaded

If you have been using leaded petrol as fuel and decide to switch to unleaded, make sure the engine is decarbonised before you do so. Otherwise, carbon deposits may come loose in the piston and cylinder area and cause damage to your machine. Consult your user manual or contact Partner for more information.

Wait until the grass is dry

It is of course possible to mow a lawn after rain, but it may be worthwhile to wait until it has dried up. Dry grass is easier to cut, less messy and less slippery for your feet.

Don’t forget safety

Powerful gardening equipment should be handled with respect. Make sure you have good boots to avoid slipping, eye and ear defenders where necessary, proper gloves and full protective gear when working with chainsaws or brushcutters. Partner can advise what protective equipment is required - please contact us for more information.

Tension the chain properly

When you use a chainsaw, the chain heats up and becomes slightly longer. To compensate for this, you need to tension the chain regularly (you find instructions on how to do this in your user manual). However, as the chain contracts again when cold, it is important to wait until it has done so before doing any adjustments.
